Companion care shifts the emphasis of senior home care to the companionship aspect of the service non-medical caregivers provide. Some people use the term interchangeably with home care, and while they are related and services can overlap, the underlying emphasis is distinct.
Our Miracle Hands companion caregivers can be present hourly or as live-in companions to older adults living alone or others with similar needs. Companions may assist with hygiene care, meal prep, errands, and transportation and provide welcome emotional support.
Many people use companions when family caregivers cannot be present. It’s a way to give relatives free time while continuing care seamlessly for a loved one in need.
